Foam fire extinguishers are ideal for multi-risk situations where class A and B risks exist. Class B fires, those involving flammable liquids, such as petrol, diesel, spirits, solvents and lubricants, can be tackled very efficiently, The foam fire extinguishers, which is available in stored pressure version, contain an aqueous film forming foam which gives rapid flame knock-down and has a blanketing effect, smothering the flames and sealing vapours to prevent re-ignition. All models, with exception of the Foam Branch pipe, have a spray nozzle which produces a very effective spread of foam, even when used by an inexperienced operator. All spray models have passed an electrical conductivity of discharge test which means that if accidentally used on electrical equipment, the spray foam will not conduct electricity.
